Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Desktop & Network Support Engineer to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Level 2 support for network and server-related issues, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution, at client locations. The role involves hands-on support and a proactive approach to maintain network health and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on Level 2 support for network and server-related issues, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolution, for client locations.
- Monitor and maintain network performance and server health, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Assist in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices, servers, and related hardware.
- Collaborate with internal teams and escalate complex technical problems when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and backups on systems to ensure stability and security.
- Document and maintain detailed records of network configurations, server setups, and support activities.
- Assist with site-related network and server changes, ensuring smooth transitions during new infrastructure installations.
- Provide after-hours support, as needed, including weekends and on-call duties.
- Hands-on support and troubleshooting in data center environments with physical servers and network equipment.
- Work with vendors and assist in Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.
- Demonstrate ownership of assignments and responsibilities to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate in identifying and recommending improvements to processes and infrastructure.
- Use ticketing systems efficiently to track, resolve, and escalate issues.
- Understand Incident and Problem Management to provide 2nd/3rd level support during major incidents.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Desktop & Network support, with strong troubleshooting skills for both server and network-related issues.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for device management and deployment.
- Ability to work with network and server devices, including configuration, installation, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting physical servers and network equipment in a data center environment.
- Strong ticketing system experience with an ability to manage incidents effectively.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to research and resolve complex issues independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs, including after-hours support.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially for interacting with support teams, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and be on your feet throughout the day in a data center setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in networking or system administration (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft certifications).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Understanding of security principles and best practices in network/server management.
