The Head of Organisational Design plays a pivotal role in shaping organisational models and systems to guiding behaviour and culture, ensuring that Dyson operates at its best for the short, mid, and long-term. Reporting directly to the Organisational Development Director, this role requires close collaboration with business leaders, BU HR, and relevant Centres of Excellence (COEs) to bring organisational strategies to life. Responsibilities include innovating, incubating, designing, and implementing key workforce and change initiatives that drive business outcomes and enhance the employee lifecycle.
Core responsibilities include:
Strategy Development: Develop and implement organizational design strategies that align with the Dyson’s goals and objectives.
Model and System Design: Create and refine organizational models and systems to enhance efficiency, productivity, and employee engagement. Organizational Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify organizational issues, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Change Management: Lead and support change initiatives that impact the workforce, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, HR teams, and Centres of Excellence to drive and support organizational initiatives.
Innovation: Identify and incubate innovative solutions to improve organizational structures and processes.
Implementation: Oversee the implementation of key workforce initiatives, ensuring they are executed effectively and achieve desired outcomes.
Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the success of organizational design initiatives and make necessary adjustments. Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication of organizational changes and initiatives to all stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining organizational design practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in workforce strategy, organisational design, and change management.
Curious mindset, with the ability to take on tough challenges and deliver impactful results that drive business success
Strong analytical skills, including deriving insights through multiple data sets, including HR, Financial and Business data
Ability to benchmark and assess plans against industry standards
Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills to work across HR, COEs, and business units.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects with tangible business outcomes.
Experience in leading PMO processes, change management, and operational tracking.
Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset to identify and address gaps in processes and governance.
