Senior Manager, Regional Finance Processes

This role administers the governance and controls for key accounting decisions related to business processes. This position will focus on supporting the rollout of new initiatives and projects, ensuring their smooth transition and operation and driving transformational efficiencies and automation across all ventures, while ensuring the existence of sufficient controls to mitigate any risk implication. This role works closely with business leaders and internal partners (Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Transport etc.) to ensure that processes continue to be aligned with the Company’s business strategy and goals, as well as meet changing needs. This role reports to the VP, Finance – Process Lead.
Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
1. Be the subject matter expert in processes and systems of the domain area. Monitor all internal and external audit issues relating to the finance processes and ensure timely completion of action plans. Where needed, provide support to the countries for issue closure.
2. Lead the review of business initiatives
- Design process and suggest systems developments to support the success of business initiatives.
- Drive Business Partnering with relevant stakeholders.
- Create, review and publish documentation of manuals and SOPs for new initiatives.
3. Build trusting relationship and continuous interaction with internal stakeholders, as well as, BPO to ensure high quality delivery of service and maximum customer satisfaction.
4. Initiate the transition of new entities/ workflow to Finance BPO when there are new initiatives, process changes, or transactional work remaining in local ventures.
5. Identify and prioritise process and system improvement opportunities for finance operations
- Conduct workshops to continually review work practices and identify pain points
- Re-design process for better operational efficiency, including adoption of automation tools, and resolve potential control issues
- Provide regular updates and training to various end-users related to company processes, systems and tools to ensure desired engagement, understanding and adoption
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, minimum 8 years’ experience with experience in managing projects/implementations.
- Technically competent and operationally hands-on.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work within tight timeframes, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate flexibility as priorities change.
- Inquisitive mind to question status quo and propose improvements using automation tools and improve workflows.
- Able to be proactive in solving problems and developing creative solutions.
- Prior experience in e-commerce business will be an added advantage
- Must be fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Familiar with SAP is a plus.
