The Finance Manager supports the Financial Controller and the management in overseeing the financial operations of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data, assists in strategic planning, and helps maintain the financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Accounting

  •  Assist the Financial Controller and COO in overseeing day-to-day financial operations.
  •  Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss
  • (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow statements and annual financial report, ensuring compliance with
  • accounting standards (IFRS/MFRS/GAAP).
  •  Ensure timely and accurate posting of financial transactions in the accounting system.
  •  Reviewing general ledger accounts and reconciling discrepancies.
  •  Assist in preparing audit schedules, coordinate and liaise with external/internal auditors.
  •  Review and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  •  Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.

2. Budgeting and Financial Planning

  •  Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  •  Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  •  Support management with financial data for decision-making.

3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

  •  Monitor daily cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  •  Assist in managing banking relationships and transactions.
  •  Support treasury functions, including fund transfers and loan administration.
  •  Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable to optimize working capital.

4. Tax and Compliance

  •  Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including corporate tax, GST/VAT, and withholding tax.
  •  Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
  •  Maintain proper financial records in compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
  •  Support Financial Controller in liaising with tax advisors and regulatory bodies.

5. Cost Control and Internal Controls

  •  Assist in implementing cost-saving initiatives and financial efficiency measures.
  •  Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and controls.
  •  Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks.

6. Business and Management Support

  •  Provide financial insights and reports to support business decision-making.
  •  Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  •  Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, business expansion, and financial feasibility studies.
  •  Provide financial guidance to finance team and other departments should the needs arises.
