Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Define the top level system specifications based on marketing requirements
Identify system architecture choices and lead down-selection process
Help build system performance model and error budget, allocate requirements to the subsystems, optimize hardware/software solutions.
Create test plans, define required HW/SW setups, lead test design efforts and manage execution
Develop technical material for internal and external consumption
Expand patent portfolio
Coach team members
Minimum Qualifications
Experience leading R&D or engineering team with demonstrated success
Solid theoretical and experimental knowledge of physical optics, optical metrology, light sources and sensors, data analysis, signal processing
Expertise in at least two of the following: optical microscopy, optical design, EM modeling, optical metrology, optical design, interferometry, ellipsometry, scatterometry, laser physics
Hands-on skills in optical setups and willingness to use them
Data analysis, physics and system modeling capability
Excellent communication and presentation skills
