Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Community & Events, Marketing Manager/Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in growing and engaging music communities online and offline by building strong relationships with artists, industry influencers, managing physical and digital Swee Lee events across the region, and owning the community engagement strategy. This role reports to the VP of Strategic Initiatives and manages a team of 4 SEA Regional Marketing Executives.


Responsibilities:

1. Community Engagement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a community-centric engagement strategy that focuses on nurturing long-term relationships and brand loyalty.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create personalised and targeted marketing campaigns for events that drive customer retention and advocacy.
  • Analyse customer data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance experiences for our community of musicians and music lovers.

2. Community Building:

  • Build and nurture an active and loyal community of musicians, music enthusiasts, and cafe customers by fostering meaningful experiences, touch points, activations and relationships.
  • Develop and implement targeted community engagement initiatives, including physical and digital contests, clinics and exclusive artist fan-meets and lifestyle events.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to collaborate with external communities, organisations, and partners to expand our reach and influence.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Identify and establish partnerships with relevant influencers, artists and artist managers, record labels, concert promoters and thought leaders in the entertainment industry to amplify our brand presence and credibility.
  • Manage all aspects of collaborations, including ideation, pitching, negotiation, execution, content creation, and performance tracking.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and build strong relationships with influencers to ensure long-term partnerships.

4. Swee Lee Events:

  • Lead and coordinate key events across Southeast Asia, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Develop regular programs and innovative event concepts, workshops, product launches, promotions and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution and a positive brand experience for attendees.
  • Evaluate event performance and implement improvements for future events.
  • Conduct outreach to potential partners, including labels and entertainment companies, to establish mutually beneficial collaborations for events and promotional activities.
  • Oversee all regional budgets and expenditures pertaining to events, ensuring that all clients and vendors are paid on time and that profits and losses are projected ahead of each event.
  • Coordinate with vendors to establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships, ensuring consistent quality and competitive pricing, while negotiating the best possible terms to maximize cost-efficiency.

5. Team Management:

  • Manage a team of Regional Marketing Executives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and success.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and goals for team members and monitor progress regularly.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

6. Cafe Experience:

  • Ensure a welcoming, positive experience for all customers by providing outstanding service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Lead and motivate cafe staff, providing training on customer service, product knowledge, and maintaining a high standard of service, where necessary.
  • Stay updated on the cafe menu offerings, ensuring that staff are well-informed and able to provide recommendations, upsell items, and educate customers on new products or promotions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community management, social media marketing, or event planning, preferably in the music industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns, community-building initiatives, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Strong relationships with influencers and artists in the music industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the South East Asia region for events and meetings.
  • Experience in hospitality and F&B management is a bonus.
