Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process Implementation: Implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation to meet both current and future production volume and delivery needs.

  • Material Flow Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve material flow from inbound to outbound operations.

  • Workflow Establishment: Design workflows that ensure seamless production support for high-volume manufacturing.

  • Time and Motion Studies: Conduct detailed motion time studies to identify opportunities for manpower optimization and improve workforce efficiency.

  • Lean Manufacturing Initiatives: Continuously drive improvements in flow and layout optimization, reduce non-value-added activities, and increase productivity.

  • Statistical Analysis: Use statistical methods and mathematical calculations to determine optimal manufacturing processes, staffing requirements, and production standards.

  • Technology Assessment: Evaluate and introduce new processes, equipment, and technologies to meet long-term material flow and production demands.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, cost control, quality assurance, raw materials, and methods for maximizing efficient manufacturing and distribution.

  • Strong project management, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using industrial engineering software/tools for layout planning, such as AutoCAD or equivalent systems.

  • Expertise in systems analysis to understand and predict the impact of operational and environmental changes on production outcomes.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a volume manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in introducing new layouts or re-layouts in production environments.

  • Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and their practical application.

  • Exposure to manufacturing process digitization and automation.

  • Simulation and Modeling which involves creating digital representations of real-world systems, processes, or operations to analyze, optimize, and predict their behavior.
