As an EHS Specialist, you will provide administrative and functional support to the Lonza Singapore EHS department, assisting with both routine and non-routine tasks. You will perform and support EHS site activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining the EHS management system, procedures, and activities in line with corporate standards and local legislation.

  • Conduct EHS induction training and coordinate other EHS-related training sessions, including liaising with training providers, scheduling, and record management.

  • Ensure routine EHS inspections are conducted as per schedule, update reports, and perform on-site inspections.

  • Maintain Risk Assessment records and follow up with the RA Team Leader.

  • Manage and maintain all EHS-related records and documentation, including EHS audit reports, waste logs, NEA e-tracking records, and SDS updates via the site’s electronic platform.

  • Oversee the management, storage, issuance, and upkeep of PPE and EHS equipment, such as gas detectors, lone operator devices, and firefighting equipment.

  • Manage the process and safe handling of various types of waste onsite, including recyclable and hazardous waste, and ensure safe transportation by in-house contractors. Provide guidance to contractors on proper chemical storage based on compatibility requirements.

  • Monitor EHS legal license expirations and flag renewals as needed.

  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as raising purchase requisitions for EHS-related purchases and updating notice boards, intranet, and TVs on various EHS topics.

  • Oversee and ensure office safety.

  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Experience:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.

  • WSH Level C certification is mandatory.

  • Experience with EHS management systems is preferred.
