Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of physical data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform the installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of hardware components, cables, and related systems.
- Manage and secure data-bearing devices (e.g., hard drives, SSDs) in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Ensure proper tracking, storage, and disposal of sensitive data to maintain data integrity and security.
- Respond to and resolve issues within a ticket-based environment, adhering to established SLAs and operational protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to escalate and address complex issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, replacements, and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide detailed reports on recurring issues and suggest process improvements to enhance data center performance.
- Follow all safety and operational guidelines to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Support efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient data center environment.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of physical IT infrastructure, including cabling, hardware, and data-bearing devices.
- Experience with ticketing systems and familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining data security and confidentiality.
