Responsibilities:
The Fund Administration Manager will be responsible for the overall administration of the private equity funds, from inception through to liquidation. This includes managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the funds, such as investor communications, capital calls, distributions, and cash management. You will oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and the fund's governing documents.
A key aspect of the role will be liaising with fund managers, investors, auditors, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting, as well as coordinating quarterly and annual audits. You will also be responsible for maintaining investor records, processing subscriptions and redemptions, and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
In addition, the Fund Administration Manager will support the investment team by providing timely and accurate fund performance reports, valuations, and cash flow projections. You will assist with the tracking of fund performance, portfolio company financials, and facilitate investor reporting, including investor capital statements, quarterly updates, and other communication as required.
As part of your duties, you will monitor fund compliance with tax regulations and other legal requirements, ensuring that all documentation and reporting adhere to relevant laws and industry best practices. The role will also require you to stay informed on market developments and regulatory changes, adjusting processes and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will 6-8 years of relevant experience in Big 4/ Fund Administration service providers before moving into Private Equity or alternative investments space for 2-3years. You should have a thorough understanding of fund structures, investment strategies, and the regulatory landscape governing private equity funds. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, and professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, or equivalent) are preferred.
In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, auditors, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
