Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Analyse production orders and job requirements to determine machining time, material needs, and manpower requirements.

· Evaluate machine capabilities and workload to identify available capacity for new jobs.

· Develop and maintain production schedules that optimize resource utilization and meet deadlines.

· Schedule preventive maintenance for machines to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

· Continuously monitor and adjust schedules to account for changes in production demands, material availability, or machine issues.

· Work closely with production supervisors, machine operators, and other departments (engineering, purchasing) to ensure effective communication and coordination of production activities.

· Communicate capacity limitations and potential scheduling conflicts to production managers and customers.

· Collect and analyse production data (e.g., job completion times, machine utilization rates) to identify areas for improvement in capacity planning and scheduling.

· Generate reports on production progress, capacity utilization, and potential bottlenecks.

· Strong understanding of machining processes and capabilities.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Education And / Or Experience

· ITE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years of Work Experience required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers

· Proficient in machining shop floor planning software (e.g., MRP, ERP systems) to manage production orders, schedules, and resource allocation.
