The Sales Executive - Market Development in Singapore is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive company growth in the assigned markets. This self-starting role involves researching potential markets, developing strategies to enter new markets, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and achieving sales targets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
*Marketing Research and Analysis*
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential markets and customer needs in assigned areas/market segments.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to develop market entry strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market opportunities and recommendations.
*Business Development*
- Conduct annual sales target settings and meet targets set by management.
- Identify and target new business opportunities in Healthcare/Environment segments.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets based on assigned customer accounts/new prospect accounts.
- Expand the customer base with internal Product Team to conduct sales promotion activities for prospective and existing customers.
*Client Relationship Management*
- Responsible to manage a group of customers, works closely with internal stakeholders to provide support and perform sales activities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. Understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct Business Meetings/negotiation and Customer Visitations
- Handling complaints, executing the follow up needed for complaints received from customers.
*Collaboration and Coordination*
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer service to align efforts and achieve business goals.
- Participate in team meetings, provide market insights, and contribute to strategic planning.
*Product Demonstrations*
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of our products. Highlight how our solutions can meet the specific needs of potential clients.
*Sales Negotiation*
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure sales agreements.
- Attain sales targets, analyze demand, negotiate prices, manage RFQs and pricing, and prepare quarterly business activity reports and opportunity applications.
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
*Reporting*
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customers & prospects pipeline status.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review.
Qualification / Ability Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering field. Advanced degrees or additional certifications in sales or business administration are a plus.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in B2B experience in sales, business/market development role.
- Strong understanding of market research and analysis techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and colleagues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. A customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Ability to identify client needs, propose effective solutions, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to travel as required to meet with clients and host industry events
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
