Job Description

  • Oversee Projects Department daily operations. Collaborates with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
  • Responsible for successful completion of all projects. Ensure that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Structural Design and Procurement Department in all project matters.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project with satisfactory quality.
  • Assist management in contractual and commercial matters in Projects.
  • Assist management in cost minimization & profit maximization.
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork, collaboration and success.
  • Ensure preparation of Project Execution Plan, Project Scope of Work, Project Setup, Project Closeout and Variation Orders.
  • Ensure clear and open communication with project team members and between project team and functional groups, the changes in scope of work and schedule are captured in the Variation Orders and the implementation of lessons learned.
  • Manages the project team, internal and external customer relationships, and staffing of project team with competent persons from the functional groups. Communicates routinely to management, customers, project team members, actively soliciting and addressing customer and project team feedback.
  • Manages the cost, schedule, safety, quality, and contractual requirements of the project through effective planning in accordance with company procedures.
  • Applies basic understanding of company's business to improve project cost effectiveness, apply change management principles and improve project margin.
  • Provide status updates regularly to management.
  • Assist in business development efforts to create project proposal, estimates and schedules etc.
  • Responsible for training, managing, and motivating the project team, as well as resolving team conflicts.
  • Resolves technical and operational issues as required.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring.

Requirements

  • Degree in structural / marine / naval architecture / civil / mechanical engineering
  • Min 5 years of working experience in similar industry, including tracking and planning projects
  • Good written and spoken English (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in quality assurance and project management, preferably in the construction, marine, or offshore industry
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, with the ability to adapt change and competing demands
  • Able to plan and manage project assigned independently
  • A problem solver and a team player
  • Experience in leading, motivating and managing various project and team sizes
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
