Fundamental Mission
The primary objectives are to:
- Manage and enhance Additive Manufacturing equipment operations.
- Act as the focal point for regional initiatives, particularly in mill savings.
- Support the Sales department on Additive Manufacturing-related matters to boost bookings.
- Promote Additive Manufacturing solutions to external clients and engage with various businesses to generate interest in Additive Manufacturing technology.
- Oversee and directly manage all Additive Manufacturing operations.
- Handle staffing, training, and performance evaluations to optimize Additive Manufacturing operations.
- Participate in operational and financial reviews, maintaining budget performance for Additive Manufacturing in line with management approvals.
- Evaluate and implement Additive Manufacturing production plans and necessary personnel and equipment to meet company goals, reporting compliance to upper management.
- Define qualification requirements for Additive Manufacturing personnel, organize training, and support all stages of employee training programs.
Main Activities:
Deployment of Additive Manufacturing:
- Develop local skills and knowledge through competency tests and training packages.
- Establish and uphold standards for safety, quality, and processes.
- Create and utilize programs for robotic manufacturing to ensure quality output.
- Subcontract operations like machining and testing as needed.
- Collaborate with AM experts to enhance process capability and control.
- Maintain regular coordination with the AM Business Development team and other experts.
Additive Manufacturing Operations:
- Manage the deployment of policies related to Lean Manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee daily operations and monitoring of Additive Manufacturing.
- Participate in management reviews of the quality system and relevant reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of all equipment and facilities required for Additive Manufacturing processes.
- Responsible for the Additive Manufacturing CAPEX program.
- Assess and guide the implementation of production plans, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Prepare standard operating procedures for Additive manufacturing operations.
- Monitor performance through KPIs and relevant objectives.
Promotion and Development:
- Identify potential new customers.
- Prepare and update presentation materials to ensure access to the latest information.
- Introduce Additive Manufacturing solutions to new clients and gather market intelligence.
- Engage in quotes and proposals for new or existing customers.
Coordination with Ecosystem:
- Serve as the technical point of contact in Singapore.
- Conduct regular competitive surveys to identify new opportunities in the APAC region.
Required Experience
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Solidworks) and manufacturing software (e.g., Powermill).
- Understanding of Additive Manufacturing processes, especially Additive Manufacturing.
- Knowledge in metallurgy and NDT; familiarity with Additive Manufacturing standards is a plus.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
Education
- Master's degree in Engineering (mechanical, material science, or welding).
