SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As an Executive/ Senior Executive in the Agency Services Division, you will be responsible for conducting means-test, assessing applications and/ or appeals, liaising with members of the public, and case managing applications and/ or appeals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

  • Perform means-testing (MT) for various healthcare schemes such as MediShield Life (MSHL) premium subsidies, Additional Premium Support (APS) applications, Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), Household means-testing (HHMT) and MediSave appeals.
  • Apply guidelines independently to assess applications and/ or appeals, following up with applicants on escalated issues to ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Coordinate with teammates and partners to manage timelines and deliver outcomes for applications and appeals, including notifications for renewals and MT collaterals.
  • Communicate with the members of public and/or healthcare service providers to clarify and ascertain their application details, resolve issues, and advise on necessary actions or documents required for approval according to the scheme’s criteria and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper communication of application and/ or appeal outcomes (i.e. approval, rejection, incomplete) to members of public and/ or healthcare service providers within the policy guidelines and service level, including explaining policy decisions and outcomes as needed.

Process and System

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and improve operational workflows for efficient case resolution and follow-up support.
  • Articulate detailed requirements to IT vendor for system enhancements to support process and policy changes.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system changes align seamlessly with requirements.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to facilitate smooth production releases, minimizing downtime and ensuring the integrity of healthcare schemes.

Vendor Management

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendor(s) to ensure service level agreements (SLAs), such as printing and archival, are met.
  • Address issues proactively and work on performance improvements as needed.

Ad-Hoc Assignments

  • Perform secretariat duties for divisional and external meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirement(s):

Bachelor’s degree in any field.

  • Meticulous, helpful, collaborative with a strong process orientation.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills. Able to systematically analyse and break down tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Capable of addressing issues related to front-to-back-end processing that may impact customer experience.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in more than one language/dialect to effectively coordinate with diverse members of public and/or healthcare service providers.

Years of Experience Required:

  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Candidates with relevant experience in managing grant applications and related areas, such as loans approvals, student admission approvals will have an added advantage.
