The ideal candidate will be responsible in driving continuous change and improvement in the IT Division.

Working technology experience within the Insurance industry, with sound insurance domain knowledge.

Work closely with various stakeholders to manage the IT Division Portfolio on the budgets, resources, IT deliveries and key milestones.

Manage IT processes such as Software Development Lifecycle, Change Authority Board and ensure timely communication of IT Portfolio related information to stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate IT budget planning, track and monitor IT spend, produce forecast and accruals for IT related expenses.
  • Support in the management of the IT Division resources and planning.
  • Govern the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) procedures, ensuring adherence of the policy, standards and procedures for software and platform development.
  • Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process and ensure compliance for all change and releases.
  • Perform periodic reviews on SDLC procedures and CAB processes to ensure the procedure documents are kept up-to-date and perform analysis on changes to identify gaps and improvement areas.
  • Maintain regular cadence of CAB meetings and SDLC updates and attestations.
  • Implement portfolio tracking and measurement methodologies for IT management reporting.
  • Schedule, organise, collate, and socialise IT Portfolio information among various stakeholders as required.
  • Manage and facilitate the IT contract and budget request review and ensure timely sign-off from the various stakeholders.
  • Drive or participate in the delivery of IT Division initiatives in meeting required milestones.
  • Support internal and external audit or assurance related activities.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor degree (Business, Finance, IT or equivalent)
  • Sound Insurance domain and working experience.
  • IT and/or Project management certifications / qualifications highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of working experience with insurance portfolio management and/or managing mid-sized IT projects through Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of IT project and delivery concepts.
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Change / Release management and governance best practices.
  • Experience in the facilitation of governance, project review, steering and other project / portfolio related meetings.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, especially senior management highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in JIRA, Confluence, project management tools or scripting highly desirable
