They are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join the team and help oversee and manage hotel design projects from concept to completion.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will coordinate and oversee all aspects of hotel design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a solid interior design project management background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee all phases of hotel design projects, from initial concept and design development to installation and completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Team Management:
- Lead and coordinate design teams, providing clear direction and meeting project goals.
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and other professionals involved in the design process.
- Monitor the performance of team members and external contractors to ensure adherence to project goals.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open lines of communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regularly update clients on project status, timelines, and any potential issues.
- Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with final deliverables.
Contractor and Supplier Management:
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers, particularly those based in China, to ensure the smooth execution of design plans.
- Negotiate contracts, oversee procurement of materials, and manage supply chain logistics.
- Ensure all contractors and suppliers adhere to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Problem Solving and Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the design and construction process, including delays, budget overruns, or design challenges.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project budgets and control costs, ensuring profitability and financial success of each project.
- Approve project expenditures and manage financial reporting for each stage of the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the interior design or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale hotel design projects from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly desirable for managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, and hotel industry trends.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, etc.).
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes in the hospitality industry.
