We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant for a chicken rice stall. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, cashiering and assisting in day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation, such as chopping ingredients and preparing sauces and side dishes
Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality of dishes
Set up and maintain workstations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Assist in taking orders and serving customers during peak hours.
Collect payment from customers and perform other cashiering duties
Package food for takeaways
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning
Receive and store deliveries, ensuring that they are properly stored
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report shortages.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures
Other duties as assigned by the chef
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in a similar role
Experience in cutting chicken or good knife skills is a strong advantage.
Has Basic Food Hygiene Course or is willing to attend the course
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Working Hours: 5.5 days/week - 8.30am to 6pm / 9am to 6.30pm / 11am to 8pm
Compensation: up to $2500
