The opportunity

DT Systems is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Technical Consultant to join our team. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients and proposing services that will push them towards value realisation and achieving their mid-term business goals.

You will lead project implementations and collaborate with the engagement & client team to coordinate, plan and deliver ServiceNow projects at client organisations while collaborating & being coached by senior colleagues.

The role of a ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant includes collaborating with the engagement & client team to coordinate, plan and deliver ServiceNow projects. You are a credible advisor to junior consultants to deliver work products across the focus areas mentioned above within the organization as well as the client contacts.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the implementation and delivery of ITSM technology enablement services using ServiceNow ITSM, IT Operations Management (ITOM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and deliver effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Lead ITSM, ITOM & CSDM enabled process workshops.
  • Design, develop and implement Service Catalogue workflows, ITIL processes, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, etc. modules within ServiceNow platform and integrate with external systems based on customer requirements.
  • Implement considering ServiceNow best practices and standards.
  • Design and develop extensions to ServiceNow data model in support of requirements towards ITSM, CMDB, CSM and other modules.
  • Review and refine designs for usability, review testing scenarios and refine test cases, to ensure applications quality and work with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level ServiceNow support, resolve incidents/enhancements/defects writing, debugging, and testing using a mix of JavaScript and server-side Java.
  • Produce and maintains detailed system documentation, including design specs, solution proposed, unit testing, tech notes, etc.
  • Create templates for unique agency requirements, reports, dashboards, flows and email notifications.
  • Assist in the scoping of new opportunities and design tools and techniques to deliver efficiently.
  • Ensure each artifact produced, each configured technical component, and all personal interactions are of the highest quality.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Proven experience (5 years) as a ServiceNow Platform Administrator.
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow platform configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and experience in ITSM module administration.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in engaging and managing a variety of stakeholders with an ability to consult, provide recommendations, and develop solutions using ITSM solutions.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification(s) in the mentioned modules is preferred.
  • Experience with agile methodology, creating process designs, technical designs, defining user stories, working with onshore/offshore development teams, leading user acceptance testing (UAT), and providing the necessary end-user training to deliver the proposed solution.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Remain current on ServiceNow releases and industry knowledge in order to recommend enhancements to clients.

Preferably, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g. mathematics, accounting, business, etc.)
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management modules.
  • Knowledge of integration strategies with other ITSM solutions (such as MetricStream, IBM OpenPages, etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) and ServiceNow development best practices.
