Junior Application Manager & Production Support

Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and technically curious individual to join the Front Office Application Support team within the Global Markets IT division. This role will support trading systems used by the Rates business across the APAC region, helping ensure the stability and performance of key applications used in electronic trading. This is a great opportunity for a junior IT professional or fresh graduate eager to grow in a fast-paced banking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily application support for Rates trading platforms, assisting front office users (mainly traders)
- Monitor system health and data accuracy across applications
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical and functional issues, escalating where necessary
- Follow established processes and contribute to documenting or improving them when gaps are identified
- Participate in system checks and validations during software releases or infrastructure changes
- Collaborate with global support teams and provide handovers as part of a follow-the-sun model
- Communicate clearly with users and technical teams during incidents and routine support
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and user support documentation
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
- 0–3 years of experience in an IT support or development environment (fresh graduates welcome)
- Basic knowledge of SQL, scripting (e.g. Python or Bash), and working with Linux/Unix systems
- Familiarity with Excel (macros a plus), and willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and desire to take ownership of tasks
- Eagerness to learn the business context (Rates trading, financial markets)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment
- Ability to work in shifts (early morning coverage) and occasional weekend or public holiday support if needed
