Description
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the shipping and logistics of marine spares and equipment.
- Arrange transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery to vessels.
- Manage documentation, including customs clearance, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipments and resolving any operational issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure smooth workflows.
- Monitor inventory levels in warehouses and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate with warehouses for storage, packaging, and handling of spares.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Keep up to date with changes in industry regulations and practices.
- Troubleshoot operational issues such as delays, damages, or incorrect deliveries.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare operational and performance reports for internal and client review.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and service performance.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- 1-3 years in logistics, freight forwarding, or maritime operations preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant internships will also be considered.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Cargowise).
- Knowledge of international trade, shipping terms, and customs regulations is an advantage.
