Operations Supervisor
About Us:
World Marketing Group (WMG) specializes in crossborder parcel and mail logistics in the Asian region. As a licensed postal service operator, the company has wide commercial and postal networks to facilitate clearance and delivery of eCommerce parcels.
Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager will oversee and manage daily operations related to warehousing, manpower deployment, and resource planning. The role requires effective leadership of the Operations Team, ensuring timely and efficient execution of operations. Additionally, the Operations Manager will handle stakeholder communication, manage systems and processes, and provide clear and actionable instructions to the team.
1. Warehousing Management
Oversee the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards within the warehouse.
Optimize storage solutions to maximize space utilization.
2. Manpower Deployment
Allocate resources and assign duties to team members based on workload and priorities.
Ensure adequate staffing levels and address any gaps in manpower.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing training and guidance as needed.
3. Leadership and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and supervise storekeepers and operational staff.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, goals, and expectations.
4. Resource and Timeline Planning
Plan and allocate resources to meet operational demands and timelines.
Develop and implement schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Anticipate potential bottlenecks and proactively resolve them.
5. Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships to address issues and align objectives.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on operational progress and challenges.
6. Systems and Process Management
Implement and manage logistics systems to streamline operations.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting in compliance with company policies.
7. Clear Communication and Instructions
Develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable instructions to the team.
Address misunderstandings or issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
Maintain transparency and clarity in all interactions.
8. Records Management
Perform coordination of shipment fulfilment activities; maintain accurate shipping records in accordance with department procedures.
Manage inventory through timely and accurate inventory update in warehouse management system daily.
Qualifications and Skills
At least 5 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Managerial role, preferably in a warehouse setting
At least a Diploma in Logistics or Warehouse Inventory Management.
Technological savvy in automatic and digitalized machines and systems.
Fleet management experience
Good EQ and communication skills in worker management and supervision.
Systematic, logical, disciplined, good housekeeping skill.
System and procedure, SOPs continual improvements.
Effective and proactive communications.
Teamwork spirit and morale.
Meticulous and resourceful.
Analytical and able to problem solve independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
