Job Description


We are seeking an entrepreneurial Category Manager, FMCG Non-Food who will be responsible for the sourcing and merchandising of a category within foodpanda’s New Verticals team.

  • Full P&L responsibility for the assigned Non-food categories, including revenue, margin & other supplier income.
  • Develop and execute aligned category strategy to meet with KPIs
  • Ensure pandamart has the right selections and best prices in the market.
  • Work with existing suppliers to negotiate cost, funding and terms improvement, secure supplier marketing and advertising spend, and ensure a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods to our fulfilment centre.
  • Work to develop new sourcing and extended range to ensure we have high quality, good value goods available to our customers year-round.
  • Employ data-driven decision-making to drive the category. Work closely with marketing and supply chain to forecast demand and ensure consistent supply
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Imports, Pricing, Strategy, Finance and Marketing to deliver strategic projects that allow pandamart to offer the best customer experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant.
  • 3+ years' relevant work experience, preferably in FMCG, retail, account and category management.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Associate Managers
  • Demonstrated track record of successful negotiations, influence and overall relationship management (both internal and external).
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability and desire to contribute to wider team performance and culture.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Great communication skills (both oral and written) are a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office & G-suite
