About your team

Investment Solutions & Services (ISS) reflects the alignment of teams that focus on the development of investment products and services, and their distribution to wholesale, institutional, intermediaries and other B2B clients. It is managed as a separate business from Fidelity’s Platform Business which offers a range of products and services that help end investors improve their financial health.

The Client Propositions team acts as connective tissue between investment management and distribution teams to deliver great client outcomes. Client Propositions incorporates Product Development, Product Delivery, Client solutions, Investment Directing and ETFs.

The IM Strategy & Planning team works in close partnership with the Investment Management Leadership Team to support the smooth running of Fidelity’s investment teams as well as leading the development and delivery of our long-term Investment Management strategy. The team provides support across all asset classes, identifying opportunities for cross-asset collaboration, improvement and efficiency.

About your role

As IM Strategy & Planning Manager, you will work closely with members of FIL’s Asia Investment Management Leadership Team and the IM Strategy & Planning team to provide analysis and recommendations to help develop and drive forward success within FIL’s APAC investment capabilities. You will also play a key role in working closely with the IM Strategy & Planning Manager for Equities, and the Equity Leadership Team (including the Global CIO - Equities), to ensure the success of FIL’s Equity investment team globally.

The successful candidate will join the Asia Investment Leadership Team, playing a leading role in the organisation, management and coordination of meetings, events and agendas. You will also help to drive progress within FIL’s APAC Investment Teams teams, identifying opportunities for greater synergies within the region, and ensuring global connectivity and effective partnership with Distribution. You will be expected to deal with highly sensitive information and be a reliable and innovative sounding board for senior members of the team, as well as preparing materials for internal and external meetings & governance forums.

In addition to partnering effectively with the Asia Investment Leadership Team, you will work closely with the IM Strategy & Planning Manager - Equities and Global CIO - Equities to ensure the smooth running of the Global Equity investment team, undertaking business management activities including, but not limited to, preparing internal and external presentations, board reporting, organising and running leadership team offsites and events, internal communication programmes and being a key enabler to the smooth running of the teams.

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a deep understanding of our current & future investment processes as well as internal governance and decision-making groups. You will work very closely with the CAO, Client Propositions / Head of IM Strategy & Planning and develop a close partnership with leaders and organisations outside of your immediate team to enable you to deliver on your responsibilities and influence decisions at a senior level. A successful approach will be structured and methodical while maintaining the maximum level of flexibility and responsiveness to rapidly changing inputs and requirements. You will need to be proactive at identifying areas for improvement, and reliable in delivery, and you will be expected to provide constructive challenge to stakeholder groups, demonstrating curiosity and a passion for driving positive change

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem solving and presentation skills, and will be able to work with a high degree of flexibility to take on activities & projects as priorities and sequencing of activities evolve. A strong ‘can do’ attitude, with the ability to influence strategic change and get things done will be key to success in this role. A solid understanding of the asset management industry environment as well as a strong desire to learn and be comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast changing environment are also key qualities required in the role.

A self-starter, you will be able to work under pressure, with tight deadlines whilst managing multiple competing priorities, and be able to respond to complex challenges with meaningful and pragmatic solusion.

Strong stakeholder management skills will be required, alongside influencing skills and the ability to operate as a collaborative team player, with the flexibility to work in a culturally diverse environment.
