Position Summary

The role is responsible to lead, coach and execute Operational Excellence through Lean and Six Sigma application at the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site. The role is responsible to deploy and use the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) “way of working” for day to day operations, problem solving, escalations and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Build six sigma and lean capability of colleagues through training and coaching (including IMEx orientation, IMEx elements, Innovation, process capability, M1 training and certification, 5S etc.)
  • Support site opex lead in goal setting, goals cascade and performance reviews
  • Continuously deliver measured improvement in performance in all aspects of business for all the IMEx Ecosystem(s)
  • Lead Six Sigma and Lean projects that are aligned with the site’s short term and long-term goals
  • Provide leadership & guidance to Green Belts (Method 2) and Yellow Belts (Method 1)
  • Promote Good Practices and sharing knowledge across the site through community of practice and within the network
  • Own the CI element and work site leadership team to ensure a consistent and impactful application of CI loop site-wide
  • Own, maintain and promote CI reporting and tracking portal
  • Promote CI culture through reward and recognition
  • Develop courses of action and drive implementation of solutions
  • Uphold Pfizer’s code of conduct and values
  • Play an active and impactful role to deliver flawless execution in the Business Excellence, Process Centric Team (PCT) by updating performance against metrics, highlighting & resolving issues, with appropriate escalations
  • Work with the process centric teams (PCT to identify and drive improvements as per the Continuous Improvement goals of the PCT

Education

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline from a recognized university
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certified (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 1+ years relevant experience preferably in in the pharmaceutical or any other regulated industry
  • Proven ability in application of Lean and Six Sigma methods and tools
  • Experience in engaging multiple stakeholders and driving to alignment and action.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence peers and leaders
  • Skilled collaborating as part of a team and working independently to deliver results.
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and independently to resolve issues
  • Possesses a can-do / pride to succeed attitude
  • Embraces the use of digital technology to scale and speed up every form of interaction and action
