Digital Supply Chain
Job Summary
The Digital Supply Chain Intern will provide support our digital supply chain projects and will be deployed to work with the various business verticals across ST Logistics.
As an intern, he/she will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain management while contributing to the implementation of digital solutions.
He/she will have the opportunity to be involved in extracting and integrating data from various sources, creating advanced models and algorithms suitable for the business use case.
He/she will also assist in conducting tests on data and AI models, interpreting findings from testing and evaluate model performance for scaling and deployment.
He/she will also assist in developing compelling and logically structured communication materials to facilitate stakeholder buy-in.
Job Responsibilities/Key Tasks(External)
- Extract and integrate data from diverse sources
- Develop, test, and evaluate advanced models and algorithms tailored to business cases.
- Conduct rigorous testing and interpret findings to ensure models are scalable and deployable.
Idea Generation and Conceptualisation
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas
- Document business requirements for digital supply chain projects.
- Evaluate business challenges and perform cost benefit analysis of digitalization.
- Design and develop a digitalization project with stakeholders to solve business challenges.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Assist in the implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Support planning and executing digital supply chain/innovation projects.
- Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
- Assist in managing project documentation and reporting requirements.
Communication and Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to facilitate innovation processes.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance innovation/digital supply chain skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the digital supply chain team to design and implement simple software components to support supply chain operations
- Undertake any assigned projects / duties directed by Management (if any)
Job Requirements
- Proficient in MS Office Applications / Microsoft Power Platform Applications or other analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with data manipulation, statistical analysis and machine learning theories is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI frameworks and tools is a plus.
- Is passionate about analysing and resolving complex business problems, displaying intellectual curiosity towards using data and AI to address business needs and challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Prior experience or coursework related to supply chain management or digital technologies such as Python or R is advantageous.
Professional Qualifications & Relevant Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
