As a key member in the Terminal Operations team, you will assist to oversee the maintenance activities of the terminal with specific attention to quality, safety and emergency, compliance with regulatory / insurance / statutory requirements, and other administrative functions, hence, ensures division remains a profit centre for the organisation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to ensure fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and associated equipment function optimally.
- Coordinate regular inspections and manage maintenance activities and resources to avoid disruptions in storage operations.
- Ensure the availability of the terminal and equipment is maximised.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures, emergency response plans, and training for team members.
- Coordinate and lead relevant functional stakeholders on diagnostic checks and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control systems associated with storage tanks and fuel distribution.
- Respond swiftly to any issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, and prepare reports on facility performance and safety compliance.
- Ensure documentation is current for regulatory audits, inspections, and internal reviews.
- Assist Tank Management leadership in formulating and executing of Tank Management Maintenance Strategy.
- Lead and update the Maintenance Management System of all maintenance master data such as assets master, equipment master, maintenance checklists, maintenance schedules.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs, while enhancing the reliability and safety of fuel storage operations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes to keep maintenance practices current.
- Foster a safety-first culture by providing ongoing training on protocols, equipment usage, and emergency response.

- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is a plus.
- Demonstrates strong management and leadership qualities, with the ability to work independently and think critically.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and committed to continuous self-improvement, with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Possesses good working knowledge of safety and statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues under time-sensitive conditions.
- Available to be on standby after office hours in response to any emergency.
Experienced Candidates
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role, especially in maintenance, with proven team coordination and communication skills is advantageous.
- Strong technical aptitude in maintaining and repairing fuel storage systems, including tanks, pumps, valves, and piping.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals related to fuel storage systems.
- Competence in conducting risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing preventive safety measures.
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities.
- Familiar with using maintenance management systems such as Maximo and SAP.
