Qualifications:
- Possess recognized diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
- Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Technical Officer Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of C&S RTO and architectural work experience in supervision of multi-storey building with basement construction, with strong knowledge of bored piling, precast structures, structural steel, architectural works and local construction practices, with experience in residential/institutional/commercial projects. Experience in residential projects and HDB projects will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- A good team player and experience in assisting Resident Engineer/C&S QP in supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist C&S QP on site in supervision and inspection of construction works, to ensure that all works comply fully with regulatory and client's requirements.
- Work closely with C&S QP and other Resident Technical Officers regulatory authorities and contractors to provide planning, design and supervision leadership not only to resolve site issues, but also and ensure timely completion of the project.
- Implement and sustain the site supervision quality & safety assurance system.
- Carry out supervision of structural & geotechnical works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site.
- To be familiar with and check all drawings (including authority submission drawings and shop drawings).
- Carry out regular site checks on contractor & ensure compliance with health and work safety in accordance with MOM regulation.
- Ensure proper maintenance and updating of site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method statements, shop drawings, as built submissions etc.
- Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing material delivered to site.
Requirements:
- RTO shall be expected to work overtime on some weeknights, Saturdays where required.
- For any overtime works beyond two hours on weeknights, the RTO are allowed to claim the excess working hours via time-off the next day. Any unconsumed time-off not use by the next day will be deemed to be forfeited.
- RTO shall be contactable through their hand phones at any time of the day (i.e. 24 hours a day, for every day, including Sundays and Public Holidays) throughout the Contract Period including any extension of time; and also during the period where Liquidated Damages is imposed.
- In the event that the RTOs are required by HDB/SO to work on Sundays or Public holidays, RTO shall be paid at the applicable maximum rate.
