Job Purpose
The Site Supervisor will oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, and workers to ensure seamless execution of project plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination and Supervision
- Supervise daily site activities and operations to ensure work progresses as planned.
- Coordinate with client, subcontractors, and workers to execute project tasks effectively.
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met by monitoring progress and resolving on-site issues.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
Inspect construction work to ensure it adheres to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Address any non-compliance issues promptly, ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
Maintain documentation of quality checks and site reports.
3. Health and Safety Management
Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations on-site to create a secure working environment
Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to educate workers about safety protocols.
Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive actions.
4. Material and Resource Management
Monitor and manage the delivery and use of construction materials to prevent shortages or wastage.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and usage to align with project budgets.
Ensure all equipment is functional and properly maintained
5. Stakeholder Communication
Act as the main point of contact between site staff, project managers, and clients.
Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting potential risks or delays.
Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to address on-site technical challenges.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and motivate on-site workers to achieve project goals.
Provide guidance and training to junior staff or newly recruited workers.
Resolve conflicts among team members to maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications and Skills: Education and Certifications:
Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in site supervision, construction management, or equivalent is an advantage.
Further Training: WAH supervisor, BCSS
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.
Proven track record in managing on-site construction projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.
Knowledge of construction standards, safety regulations, and quality management.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
