We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Retail Manager to join our team! You’ll work closely with the Retail team to leverage performance indicators, adapting to daily business adjustments and challenges to ensure optimal performance that aligns with our company’ goals. Leading by example, you’ll ensure our service language and tone shine through, inspiring the team to deliver radical service that enhances the overall shopping experience at Beyond The Vines.
Responsibilities include:
Strategy
- Collaborate with the Retail Management team to develop, assess, and refine effective retail strategies based on data-driven insights (e.g., profit and loss statements, budgets, and sales forecast),
- Analyse market trends and competitive analysis to ensure sustainable growth and adaptability in a dynamic retail environment.
People Development
- Work with the People Operations team to recruit, onboard, train and retain a high-performing full-time and part-time retail team, in line with the store’s manpower and seasonal hiring needs, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed.
- Recognise and resolve performance issues within the store, communicating high priority issues to Management in a timely manner and collaborate to develop plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Improve store performance and engagement by recognising and rewarding crew members for their outstanding performance, and proactively conducting review sessions with new and/or lower-performing team members.
Service
- Work with the Assistant Retail Manager in maintaining service standards and consistently communicating the brand’s culture through our service language and tone.
- Work closely with HQ teams to initiate and implement community engagement projects.
Operations
- Work with the Retail management team in managing the day-to-day store operations.
- Oversee general store administration and ensure compliance with Company policies and SOPs.
- Collaborate closely with all other functional teams in the day-to-day and event-specific operations.
- Develop, improve, and optimise retail processes to ensure efficiency of all daily store operational procedures.
- Supervise the efficient and productive handling of all merchandise while maintaining stockroom tidiness and standards.
- Work with the Supply Chain team in conducting regular stock taking exercises at several intervals in the year, or as and when required, ensuring the highest level of inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory levels and ordering restocks as required.
Requirements include:
- Minimally 5-6 years of experience in retail store management for similar fashion/lifestyle/e-commerce brands with a global presence.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends/public holidays.
- Energetic and self-motivated, with an emphasis and belief in strong customer service and experience.
- Possess strong business acumen and a drive for achievement.
- Ability to lead a dynamic retail team!
- Keen understanding and interest in fashion/lifestyle trends and brands.
