What The Role Is
The Finance Associates Programme (FAP) is AGD’s flagship programme to groom talent pipeline for Public Sector Finance. Associates on the programme will be rotated systematically to acquire strong foundations in key domain areas of finance, operations and policy formulation across the Whole-Of-Government.
Fresh graduates joining AGD under the FAP (Ops-Tech) track will be developed and given exposure to different Ops-Tech functions to allow them to acquire necessary competencies which will accelerate their career development as they take on leadership responsibilities early in their career.
The FAP (Ops-Tech) track aims to develop Finance Professionals specialising in Ops-Tech to take on apex C-Suite positions such as Chief Operations Officer (COO) to manage and run central systems/operations and shared services.
What is Ops-Tech?
Ops-Tech roles serve as a bridge between operational understanding and technical knowledge. These positions entail overseeing central or shared services operations and collaborating with central systems (Tech) in finance as a super-admin, which includes responsibilities such as systems configuration and integration.
What You Will Be Working On
You will be involved in developing financial systems and policies, driving the adoption of financial analytics across the Whole-of-Government, transforming business processes, preparing financial budgets and reports, managing Government's liquidity, internal audit, reviewing internal controls and evaluating Government's programmes.
You may also get the opportunity to undergo policy postings in Ministry of Finance and other agencies and be involved in policy formulation. Associates are expected to participate in AGD-wide projects to build up their knowledge in Public Sector Finance.
