Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful and Future-Oriented

The Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for ensuring that all commercial and legal tasks in complex projects are completed on-schedule, cost-effectively and in compliance with quality standards. In his or her role, the Commercial Project Manager adheres to the official Mobility and Siemens circulars and regulations, ensuring these and project-specific processes are consistently followed. The CPM is authorized to request all necessary information about the project from all involved offshore and onshore organizational units. He or she is responsible for the completeness, quality and reliability of project information.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING

Project Management

  • Active Customer Relationship Management
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in terms of the project's strategic orientation and its respective internal and external communication
  • Manage commercial and legal project subjects (including fiscal, bank guarantees, currency-related and insurance subjects), taking into consideration internal business models
  • Ensure compliance with fiscal, commercial law and internal commercial rules
  • Coordinate internally with the responsible department and with the Siemens companies involved
  • Steer the project's procurement and supply chain incl. export control and customs (ECC)
  • Checking that the overall project's contractual structure has been correctly created in the respective commercial tools

Project Controlling

  • Assurance of the correctness, consistency and transparency of the overall project's financial status
  • Handle internal project controlling process
  • Oversee order entry calculation, concurrent costing and final costing
  • Manage asset, cash flow, and the correct allocation and monitoring of costs
  • Prepare invoices and follow-up on payment claims
  • Set up the cross-company controlling and reporting system for the project
  • Determination of the cross-company exchange of balance-sheet information
  • Consolidation and analysis of project figures across all company boundaries and accounting units

Project Reporting

  • Responsible for global reporting to the relevant Management level
  • Ensure documentation aligns with the mandatory internal and external requirements
  • Regularly report on project status, conduct milestone reviews, and lead project review meetings
  • Contributes to the creation of final project reports and lessons learned summary, for organizational feedback

CONTRACT AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Contract management

  • Draft and review commercial and legal contractual conditions with customers, consortium members and subcontractors
  • Participate in negotiation and implement of contract interpretation in projects
  • Analyse and assess complex international contract scenario
  • Engage in active contract management with the Project Manager to identify and mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities

Claim and change order management

  • Manage internal and external claims between all possible stakeholders
  • Assert and defend of own claims and prevent of unjustified claims
  • Negotiate and agree on contractual amendments regarding the scope of supplies and services, prices, deadlines or other contractually stipulated conditions

Opportunity and risk management

  • Identify and financial assess opportunities and risks
  • Define and implement measures to reduce risks or realize opportunities

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
  • Certified Commercial Project Manager (C-projects) or another project management certification is a plus
  • Commercial experience in international Project Execution
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge in SAP
