Introduction
Curia Regis is a professional regulatory compliance services firm dedicated on assisting regulated financial institutions with their initial and ongoing obligations under the MAS' purview. We are seeking a highly motivated, driven and results-oriented individual to join our growing dynamic team focused on the Capital Markets and Payment Services sector in Singapore.
General Responsibilities
a) Liaise with regulated financial institutions on their regulatory obligations;
b) Create regulatory reports and meet with clients to update them on the status of their regulatory obligations;
c) Review and draft compliance policies, frameworks and templates, covering all aspects of regulatory compliance;
d) Keep clients informed and updated about regulatory deadlines and assist with regulatory submissions;
e) Works on improving internal processes, documentation and templates to streamline the business;
f) Analysing and summarising updates on new MAS requirements;
g) Assist with risk management activities, including assessments, mitigation strategies, framework determination and implementation, and ongoing monitoring;
h) Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends to proactively address emerging compliance issues;
i) Collaborate with external stakeholders to compile and draft compliance reports, ensuring consistency and transparency;
j) Carry out KYC and KYB screenings on named counterparties; and
k) Other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
a) A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Compliance Consulting/Fund management compliance is preferred, but otherwise similar experience in financial services, either across regulatory compliance, legal, internal audit with the big 4, or with the MAS. ;
b) Command of written and spoken English at a Professional level;
c) Familiarity with MAS rules and requirements;
d) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Law or any relevant discipline;
e) Ability to understand and disseminate information clearly and succinctly;
f) Detailed and able to work effectively in tight timelines; and
g) Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
