The Digital Economy is a key driver of economic growth for Singapore. Along with the economic promise of digitalisation comes domestic and global challenges. International collaborations and establishing government-to-government cooperation that enables interoperability of digital systems and governance frameworks between countries has become ever more important.
You would be part of the International Relations, Policy & Strategy (IRPS) team under the International Group that spearheads IMDA’s digital diplomacy efforts. Your role is to build relations with IMDA’s foreign digital counterparts and drive Singapore’s work in international organisations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) amongst others. You will also be spearheading IMDA’s efforts at the Digital Forum of Small States (Digital FOSS) platform.

You will also be spearheading IMDA’s efforts at the Digital Forum of Small States (Digital FOSS) platform.
Responsibilities
- Strategise, advocate, and advance Singapore's interests at regional/international organisations and platforms.
- Develop and execute plans to build strategic partnerships with local and international partners.
- Organise and implement projects, visits and international events that advance Singapore’s digital interests. This includes coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, as well as setting concrete milestones and KPIs to monitor success.
- Independently conduct research and prepare briefing papers to support visits and meetings with foreign government representatives and international organisations of strategic interest to Singapore.
- Background in Political Science/Economics/Engineering/Computer Science/Mass Communications preferred.
- 2-8 years of relevant working experience, preferably with exposure to the infocommunications industry, international relations and/or government policy formulation.
- Strong interest in and understanding of infocommunications technologies, media and emerging technology trends, as well as broader geopolitical developments.
- Able to travel for work.
- Communication skills (good grasp of English, proficiency in a second language is a bonus).
