Missions

Technical architect in charge of providing technical solutions designs in line with the enterprise architecture standards to meet the technical requirements of ASIA projects on to private and public cloud, technical reviews on Design Authority and/or BAU reviews as part of RISQ/IGAD/REG reviews etc. Part Member of the technical architecture team working on transversal architectural projects and topics.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the Societe Generale cloud platform to enable applications onboarding to the public/private cloud. - Provide L1-L3 Support on the public cloud for the applications in ASIA
  • Provide architectural guidance on the initiatives aligned with the company IT strategy.
  • Conducting architecture reviews and designs of the applications and services to ensure compliance against standards, principles, and architecture frameworks.
  • Gatekeeper of application recertification, validation, documentation for Asia Pacific BU/Sus following Global Standard, tools, and processes (Kear, ARC internal lists, etc.) from technical domain perspective
  • Support and guide cloud migration (transformation) & modernization with partnering with application managers.
  • Create reference architecture and solutions that meet the requirements of the technology, security, and business.
  • Discipline in the practice of IT processes and documentation.
  • Introduce the modern technologies (Cloud, microservices, low latency, high volume of traffic) to the team and drive the migration and modernization.
  • Perform technical POC (Proof of Concept) to prove the solution to the practical use case in the business applications.
  • Review and Validate Architectural Technical (when relevant) aspects of SG\Initiatives
  • Be part of RTB tasks supporting the Region as part of Asia ARC TEC team to support GCOO tools and processes where applicable

Profile required

Academic Background And Certifications, Experience.

Qualification & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, and engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in the programming as a software/cloud engineer
  • Proven working experience in the private/public cloud engineering and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience of the containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) or migration from the monolithic to container architectures.
  • Solid experience in Technology projects in relevant fields performing roles involved either in Architecture, Design and Build, Support or Analysis with strong technology foundations.
  • Comprehensive experience as an engineer or architect with hands-on technical experience of private or public cloud technologies.
  • Experience of working on various technology stacks related to computing, storage, networking, security, containers, database delivered through IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, or traditional on-premises.
  • Experience of various engineering areas (frontend, backend, data).
  • Experience of delivering medium to complex resilient and highly available architecture solutions using multiple technologies and at a scale to support enterprise requirements.
  • Experience in managing and\or working in close partnership with developers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels, ability to communicate/present complex technology discussion to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective team player with ability to work as an individual contributor or in team with collaborative approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical requirements.

Department Description

The mission of the architecture team, within GBSU, is to drive and support the IS Strategy closely in collaboration with the business and operational teams. Specialized in the transformation of the IS, it requires individuals who can play a key role through their leadership and strong expertise. The successful candidate will be part of this architecture department in Asia, and will contribute in defining and enforcing the IT Strategy in the Asia Pacific region interacting with regional and global major stakeholders. The position is based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of IT Architecture team in Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
