Ambulance Wish (Singapore) Ltd is a registered charity with an Institution of Public Character (IPC) status that celebrates the lives of terminally ill patients in Singapore. Our work supports them and their loved ones through the simple but deeply meaningful act of wish-granting. By helping to fulfil these wishes, Ambulance Wish Singapore (AWS) wants to transform the end-of-life experience for patients with a limited prognosis of less than 12 months, giving them and their families a measure of joy, peace and comfort. The work of AWS is an extension of the provision of care for the dying that goes beyond the walls of hospitals and hospices, to impact homes and hearts. Since November 2019, with the support of our dedicated volunteers, we have fulfilled more than 250 wishes.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for an Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications. This position reports to the Executive Director and will play a key role in supporting the marketing communications, partnerships and outreach efforts at AWS, to further the work, profile and presence of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Management

  • Manage AWS social media, website and other digital platforms, including messaging, copywriting, and targeting for social / digital campaigns.
  • Create engaging content optimised for search engines to enhance online presence and attract traffic to AWS’s digital channels.
  • Proficiently utilise digital platforms to engage target audiences, and measure effectiveness of campaigns.

2. Strategic Communication and Brand Storytelling

  • Craft compelling narratives that align with AWS’s mission, articulating the impact of its services, and build strong brand awareness amongst stakeholders, including but not limited to funders, potential and existing donors, community partners and the public.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.
  • Create and execute content for AWS collaterals including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, flyers, annual reports, and so on.
  • Develop stories for the media, including developing media angles, releases, invites, and media kits, and managing relationships with media partners.
  • Work closely with a pool of volunteer content creators to co-create content for AWS communication platforms.
  • Adjust communications strategies for maximum engagement through data analytics.

3. Project Management

  • Support fundraising projects, including developing fundraising and donor relationship collaterals.
  • Plan and execute marketing of fundraising projects.
  • Manage and execute integrated marketing projects that are responsive to the evolving needs of the community, and aligned to AWS’s strategies.

4. Other roles

  • Develop partnerships and manage relationships to expand AWS's network.
  • Provide secretariat support for the Communications & Advocacy Committee.
  • Perform other marketing or communications-related tasks as needed, including content creation, email marketing, and market research.
  • Work with Executive Director to develop and execute marcom plan, campaign and calendar.
  • Assist in events and other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited tertiary institution, or comparable qualification.
  • At least 3-5 years in a marketing, communications, business development, and/or front-facing client relations role.
  • Results-driven team player, with experience working with a high degree of independence in time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social media skills and knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software.

Salary Range

SGD$4,000 - $5,000/month
