THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Singapore-based Business Development Manager/Field Sales professional to join our sales team in Singapore. AECO provides supply energy acquisition services and consulting, and energy market intelligence services. You will be part of a direct sales team addressing various market segments.

Innovation and Technology:

You will need to be comfortable with technology and innovation. This will be a full work-from-office role but will need to work with the other teams using Microsoft Teams and online processes. You will need to innovate both processes and approaches to meet market demands.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development

  • Actively prospect new and existing customers for Company products and maintain profitable relationships within the list of existing and new accounts.
  • Develop a sales opportunity plan to achieve targets
  • Build and execute activities to implement the sales plan that was developed
  • Ability to deal with objections, negotiate pricing, and close sales in a timely manner

Sales and Client Management

  • Manage current and develop new client relationship
  • Develop new opportunities with current clients and continuous cross-selling activities
  • Develop new opportunities with a new client
  • Be able to present and demo to potential clients
  • Consistent closure of new orders to meet assigned quota
  • Prepare quotations, agreements and billing
  • Managed and ensured the renewal of the current contract for the client assigned
  • Promote account growth by consistently delivering post-sales satisfaction, managing customer relationships, and looking to identify new needs and business opportunities
  • Make cold calls as required

Sales Management and Operations

  • Manage the pipeline using the sales methodology, practice and tools determine by management
  • Consistent update of client information, activities, updates and other information as required using the prescribed tools
  • Update and submit sales forecast, pipeline, reports and other reporting as needed
  • Provide sales forecast per organization requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Business Management or other relevant degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Flair for in-person or virtual presentations; keen eye for details; customer-focused and creative problem-solving attitude.
  • Proactive and goal-getter attitude with ability to build lasting business partnerships.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and ongoing projects.
  • Understanding of account planning and opportunity strategy creation - Understand different roles in corporate (who are decision-makers, gatekeepers)
  • Able to negotiate, present, and close deals with given targets

Recommended Qualifications

  • Understand and use of sales techniques and methodologies to secure deals
  • Has a broad network of customers from respective industries
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
