Job Responsibilities
- Identify market trends and propose toys assortments for various IP programs
- Conduct market research on ideas and viability
- Undertake international sourcing for Toys category (Primary product category)
- Develop products with approved Key Visuals and work with factories to develop new OEM products, such as collectible figurines
- Identify key target audiences for each merchandising program
- Understand sales and sell-through for replenishment and developing the right products
- Liaise with Global sourcing team on new potential factories and products
- Submit product concepts on licensor platforms for approvals
- Undertake procurement of product orders
- Follow up with factories at various stages of product development
- Liaise with factories on final production samples
- Work with the Inventory Management team to manage the movement and activity of all orders
- Prepare product catalogues and create orders on backend CMS
- Undertake field research to gather feedback from Retail Operations team and consumers to constantly improve product mix and quality
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Merchandising or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of merchandising experience, preferably with background in Retail and Budgeting.
- Good negotiation skills and research ability
- Good communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to various stakeholders
- Motivated, pro-active and creative
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Understand the toy industry landscape
- Possessing basic design skill is a bonus
