Job Description: Serangoon Secondary School is seeking a Front Counter Concierge to manage reception duties and support the general office's daily operations. The role spans from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, with services not required in June and December. This position involves handling inquiries from students, parents, vendors, and staff, providing basic first aid, and supporting various administrative functions.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Working hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Services not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
  • Perform reception duties, including handling telephone and walk-in inquiries.
  • Assist injured or unwell students by providing basic first aid and accompany them to the hospital when necessary.
  • Manage lost and found items, telephone inquiries, and front office records.
  • Provide general office administrative support, including sorting and distributing mail, assisting with the preparation of documents, laminating certificates, and making announcements via the PA system.
  • Support logistical arrangements for meetings, events, and school activities.
  • Liaise with vendors for bus transport and other services.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Requirements

  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident only.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in front counter customer service.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills with a pleasant and positive attitude.
  • Candidates trained in first aid will have an added advantage.
