Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects, particularly in manufacturing companies. You will need to have experience in project management, specifically in BOM projects, CIP (Continuous Improvement Project), and NPI (New Product Introduction). Additionally, you should have experience in issuing purchasing orders and be able to work effectively under stress in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes for projects, ensuring timely completion of purchase requisitions.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to manage changes and updates to purchase orders, utilizing appropriate tools such as Jira.
  • Conduct invoice reconciliation, working closely with vendors and accounts payable to resolve outstanding invoices and improve processes.
  • Utilize your ability to read mechanical drawings to gather necessary information for projects.
  • Develop RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyze quotations from vendors, and provide sound sourcing recommendations considering cost, quality, lead-time, and technical considerations.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and manage cost changes throughout project lifecycles.
  • Take ownership of vendor selection and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as project managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams on project-related tasks.
  • Maintain and manage key supplier relationships and performance throughout project lifecycles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in manufacturing companies is required.
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in BOM projects, CIP, and NPI.
  • Experience in issuing purchasing orders.
  • Ability to work effectively under stress in a fast-paced environment.
