As a Business Analyst at embecta, you will work closely with the regional commercial finance team, providing a high level of data analytics, reporting, and insights. Your role will be crucial in helping our business make informed, data-driven decisions. You’ll bring structured, standardized, and insightful analytics on commercial activities, market trends and competitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and reporting monthly customer in-market sales data.
- Providing market data insights such as market growth, competition analysis, and market share.
- Maintaining and enhancing daily sales reports and Power BI dashboards in collaboration with the IT analytics team.
- Reporting monthly revenue and gross profit metrics, analyzing price-volume mix, customer revenue, and country-level performance.
- Driving marketing expense analysis and reporting, ensuring maximum program effectiveness and return on investment.
- Assisting in preparing monthly business review decks with commercial and finance teams.
- Collaborating with regional marketing, country commercial, and finance teams during quarterly and annual planning cycles, supporting revenue and profit planning, system uploads, and market model reporting.
- Partnering with global analytics teams to ensure consistent and accurate data reporting across regions.
- Continuously improving data reporting processes, increasing efficiency and standardization across the region.
- Providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis to management, including project financials and business case development.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 + years of experience in data analysis, sales operations, or a similar role.
- Experience in regional analytics is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is essential, with additional experience in Macro/BPC/SAP/SACP being a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while being detail-oriented and meticulous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or a related field.
