About the role

The incumbent will be a core member of the company’s Operational Excellence (OpEx) team, directly reporting to the Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager. His/her focus will be to lead OpEx projects that leverage on in-depth data analysis and lean principles to close operational gaps and work closely together with the rest of the core team to support the OpEx community in driving continuous improvement efforts.

What you will be doing

Lead OpEx projects that leverage on in-depth data analysis and lean principles to close operational gaps and provide catalytic support to the efficiency across multiple sites

Provide mentorship to the logistics analysts by directing them in the project-scoping phase of continuous improvement project concepts, evaluating business case prospects, and supporting the project development through to implementation

Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to drive project development, align on expectations, and overcome project risks

Contribute to the OpEx community by sharing knowledge of best practices and new solutions, organizing technical trainings and focus group workshops, developing team collaterals, etc.

Vertical 1 – Build Internal OpEx Culture

Support the roll out of an OpEx program across all logistics warehouse operations within the company, providing coaching and training to necessary stakeholders

Support the development of a lean knowledge management framework that organises, strengthens, and diversifies the learning journey of the OpEx community in lean tools and operational excellence

Vertical 2 – Transform Customer Journey

Work closely with Hub / Operation Managers to identify new customer needs and develop action plans to close gaps in service levels or expectations

Collaborate with the Innovation team to identify implementation opportunities for new solutions or technology that would catalyze the operational excellence standards of all logistics sites

The successful candidate

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business with a relevant specialization
  • At least 2 years’ project management experience in the contract logistics / warehousing industry
  • Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables)
  • Knowledge in VBA / SQL / database management structure is not necessary but will be a plus
  • Comfortable with presenting and communicating with customers and stakeholders within all levels of the organization
  • Good and adaptive team player with strong interpersonal skills
