What You’ll Do
Develop products that directly help projects located within government product teams improve digital accessibility.
Help drive product and tooling decisions to align with broader company initiatives. Provide hands-on consultancy during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
Implement frontend user interfaces based on UX design mockups and logic on native mobile (Android Java), and Desktop (ElectronJS and Node/TypeScript-based frameworks).
Implement RESTful APIs and server-side web functions using NodeJS, NextJS, VueJS, and other JavaScript-based libraries .
Implement automated testing frameworks (e.g. Axe, Playwright.dev) and leverage existing automation tools to identify accessibility issues during SDLC.


What We’re Looking For
Passionate about working in digital accessibility and inclusive design space in the context of building accessible digital services.
Minimum of 3 years in software engineering-related experience.
Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
Demonstrated knowledge of digital accessibility and inclusion including digital accessibility regulations & Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA requirements. (e.g., Section 508, ADA).
Pre-requisite in full-stack software development with HTML/CSS, React.js, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js and/or other JavaScript-based frameworks.
Ability to write test code in frameworks/libraries such as Karma, Mocha, Chai and Sinon is highly advantageous.
Experience in functional and regression testing using JavaScript testing
frameworks/libraries such as Playwright.dev, Crawlee to automate actions with CSS and XPath is highly advantageous.
Experience in agile development teams, employing relevant methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Extreme Programming, Continuous Integration and deployment (CI/CD).
