About Department and Purpose of the Position

To support the Head of Department in the management of the various functions under Operations and Administration.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)

  • Lead 2 functions of NUH Referral Centre (NRC) mainly the Corporate Collaboration Office & Patient Liasion Centre.
  • The Corporate Collaboration Office establishes programmes with local referral partners such as the insurance companies, third party administrators, specialist centres, general practitioners and others referral parties.
  • The Patient Liasion Centre (PLC) is an operational arm of NRC whom coordinate appointments, direct admission and emergency evacuation of our non-subsidised patients & high esteemed patients such as VIP & CIPs. PLC is the nerve of NRC’s functions.
  • The incumbent is to lead, manage, coach, and motivate 2 or more teams to ensure effective, efficient and professional delivery of department plans, programmes, processes and service delivery.
  • He/ She is to work closely with relevant department or stakeholders on projects, workgroup or committee to resolve intra-department challenges, initiate and propose options where possible and see through the implementation to ensure desired outcomes are achieved for operational or patient services issues.
  • As the leader, he/ she must plan, monitor and distribute department resources such as manpower or budget fairly and juridically.


Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)

  • Identify learning needs of department with due actualization of suitable training plans.
  • Lead departmental QEHS initiatives and/or participate in cross-departmental projects.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Key Requirements

  • Recognized degree with relevant working experience at managerial level.
  • Meticulous and analytical, possess excellent organizational and coordination skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to exercise initiative, manage pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit excellent leadership and team management qualities.
  • At least more than 10 years of working experience.
