Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Application Lead with proven knowledge and implementation experience in the Transaction Banking Cash management domain within Information Technology Department under System Office for Asia (ASO).

The successful candidate will be part of a growing dynamic regional team providing business solutions for cash management solutions. You will be supporting the Bank’s initiatives in Transaction Banking (Cash/Payment) domain, working with the business stakeholders to identify the business priorities, plan for the delivery of the solution, manage schedule and budgets, manage the risks/ issues and facilitate the system implementation across countries in APAC.

Key responsibilities in the regional transaction banking technology team include:
• Lead business initiatives in System Office for Asia. Plan and oversee IT delivery projects
• Manage business requirements, stakeholders and directing team/organisation to achieve the common purpose and goals
• Collaborating with stakeholders (main IT teams) to define, prioritize and develop project planning and budgeting requirements
i) Project status reporting with risk/issue mitigation strategy
ii) Analysing project budget and track it
iii) Oversee all aspects of the budgets pertaining to the project
iv) Vendor management and provide the demand pipeline to the vendors for their estimation and planning
v) Track the quality from the vendors on their delivery.
vi) Overseeing development of the project and ensuring team members are carrying out their task efficiently while upholding project standards
vii) Accurately documenting project’s creation, development, and execution as well as documenting project scope, budget, and justification
viii) Review and ensure Systems Management Procedures are adhered to follow up with respective parties to ensure compliance and governance.
ix) Ensure all the project artefacts as per the SDLC are delivered.
x) Task prioritization with stakeholder to align to short-term and long-term goals of the business
xi) Centralizing information and track against milestones and deliverables of the project portfolio
• Oversee the preparation of communications and make presentations to stakeholders on opportunities and constraints of processes and systems
• Experience in dealing senior stakeholder and driving steering committee meeting
• Experience in dealing with regulatory requirements (example: country central bank mandates)


Job Requirements:

• Min. 12 years of IT experience, with experience in project management or PMO experience in the banking and financial service industry

• Experience in Payments domain, specialized in cross-border and domestic payments in APAC region and ISO20022 payment standards.

• Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, degree in Japanese university or equivalent is required to liaise with Japanese counterparts in the head office.

• Previous experience in Transaction Banking (Cash Management) is advantageous.

• Experience in managing large sized transformation projects and ability to work with senior stakeholders and distributed teams that are off-shore.

i) Experience in Project Life Cycle from inception, analysis, development, testing and implementation (SDLC methodologies and Agile is preferred)
ii) High proficiency and proven skills in using MS office tools including MS project plan and Visio
iii) Knowledge of budgeting like forecast vs actuals, CAPEX/OPEX, depreciation and charge-back
iv) Hands-on and high analytical
• Be analytical and applies critical thinking toward business requirements, open-minded and innovative in exploring new and alternative solutions to optimize systems, arriving at sound decisions and solutions
• Deep dive, problem solving, RCA and systemic thinking to reach to the cause of issues
• A strong leader who is able to communicate his/her ideas persuasively and sustain positive relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
• A project management certification is highly advantageous
• Strong attention to details and excellent good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
