Objective

Responsible to assist the Merchandising Manager to ensure business objectives and generate sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services. You are responsible to support the Merchandising team to ensure the right product, in the right place, time, quantity and price.

Key Activities

The position is responsible for:

  1. Vendor/ Supplier management - Build strong relationships with category-specific vendors/ suppliers assigned.
  2. Generate periodic Sales Reports and analyse consumer buying patterns and market trends.
  3. Regularly monitor stock status and inventory.
  4. Update retail pricing and planogram. Ensure that pricing is correct and send to the relevant department (Operations / VM department).
  5. Prepare and process purchase orders.
  6. Review product pricing and profit margins, sales report and sales analysis.
  7. Analyse sales report, store growth and ranking reports.
  8. Maintain effective communication with various departments.
  9. Inventory management - review aging/ slow moving products.
  10. Update promotion list and forward to Operations/VM department as and when there are changes.
  11. Prepare presentations and reports for management meeting.
  12. Submit damage goods report to supplier for claims.
  13. Negotiations with brands on promotions and other issues.
  14. Schedule meetings with vendors to address business needs.
  15. Maintain suppliers' information, terms and conditions.
  16. Performs other related or ad hoc tasks as instructed by immediate superior.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

· Prior experience in merchandising or retail is preferred but not mandatory.

· Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret sales data.

· Excellent communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
