For the first six months, the candidate will spend half of his/her time within the Development of Data Driven Technologies (D3T) team to understand and learn AI governance ecosystem and policy making.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, implement and manage work within the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) standards programme:

  • Undertake engagement/collaborative proceedings with industry members (both domestic and international) to work towards developing relevant national artificial intelligence standards.
  • Provide advice to stakeholders in adoption and implementation of standards, technical references, guidelines and/or best practices.
  • Keep abreast of developments in the policy domain and standards in global landscape and industry.
  • Participate and advance Singapore's position in international AI standardisations.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, events and/or research on AI.

Candidate is also expected to assist in general tasks and administrative work within the Standards Development and Regulatory Technology division.

Requirements

  • Background in Communication Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated interest and willingness to learn and understand new technologies.
  • Good understanding of info-communication domains such as AI, machine learning, etc. is desired.
  • Familiar with info-communication standardisation works will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant field(s).
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Team player, with good interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Self-driven, agile, and able to operate in evolving environment.
  • Good in report writing and communication skills.
