The Trainee Catering Officer will rotate between duties of Control I and Documentation as listed below:


Control I

• Receive request from airline representatives and stakeholders for last-minute requirements/changes and dispatch them to the relevant persons for action

• Raise Additional Meal Request forms and dispatch it to Duty Catering Officer (Control ll)

• Inform Duty CO and Production Control on the last-minute additional meals

• Record the changes in the meal figures requirement (initial and revised) on the Load Summary Sheet

• Handle and liaise with Duty CO and Production Control on all delayed flights or aircraft returned to bay requirements/changes

• Receive from airline representative information on the duration of delay and whether change of meals or SATS delay snack packs are required

• Other duties as directed from time to time by Duty Manager, Section Head and Catering Supervisor (Documentation)


Documentation

• Prepare all documents needed in Control l for Operations

• Create the Flight Check-out Sheet (FCOS) for the flights/lounges/other clients allocated by Supervisor (Documentation)

• Extract passenger load figures and special meal requirements from the portals at stipulated timeline

• Ensure that the checklist (FCOS) is out in time to meet the production and tray assembly requirements for flight preparation

• Prepare Special Meal Request Advice for non-standard special meals due to passenger dietary requirements and issue to Duty Catering Officer (Control ll) and Production Control

• Liaise with airlines representatives and ARMs on changes in loading plans, planes and flight schedule

• Other duties as directed by the Duty Manager, Section Head and Supervisor (Documentation)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and procedures and adapt local practices to industry standards
Good oral and written communication skills
