Role of Pastry Chef:
Maintain high standards of hygiene
Responsible for preparing a wide variety of artisan pastry products
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, improver etc.
Ensure all equipment are clean and kept properly
Any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the management relating to the service and cleanliness of the café/ bistro
Experience & Skills:
Proven skills in artisanal pastry products will be advantageous
Possess knowledge of sanitation principles, nutrition, food preparation and baking techniques
Possess food hygiene and safety certification
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team
Able to work on weekends and public holidays (5-day roster)
