The RBS Manager will provide operational leadership, execute strategic initiatives, and work closely with external and internal partners to ensure compliance with regulations and service standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of Duty Managers and shift teams, ensuring high service standards.
Manage Ramp & Baggage Services in assigned terminals, including check-in, departure, and arrival handling.
Act as the escalation point for Duty Managers and teams, available 24/7 via company mobile.
Engage with airline representatives, address issues, and manage escalations.
Coordinate and attend airline meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Collaborate with CAAS and CAG on operational and safety issues.
Prepare for and manage airline audits, system trials, and terminal moves.
Monitor and resolve follow-up items from daily shift reports and incidents.
Ensure adequate staffing levels and mandatory certifications.
Lead team development, appraisal, and discipline.
Provide crisis leadership, manage escalations, and resolve incidents.
Work with finance on budget and resource utilization, and implement process improvements.
Act as deputy to the Head of Ramp & Baggage Services when required.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience.
At least 7 years in airport, airline, or ground handling operations.
Available 24/7 for escalations and shift report monitoring.
Expertise in ramp operations and team leadership.
Comfortable in high-stress environments and adept at crisis decision-making.
